Designing your website

Once you have made up a list or flowchart of the pages or sections you would like on your website, you need to then think about the direction you want to go in with the design of your website.

The best way to start is to have a look around the Internet and write down a list of sites you like and what you like about them (eg. you may like how a certain site does its menus and how another site has an animated introduction). You should also do the same for sites you don't like so your designer knows what things to avoid.
If you take the time to do this, you can save a lot of time, money and frustration when getting your website designed.

If you have a logo and/or brochures then these can also be used as a starting point to ensure that the design of your site also fits in with your brochures, business cards, letterhead, etc.

At Mantis Technologies, we have in house graphic designers who can assist you in deciding on a professional and effective design for your website.
